my 10 minutes at the dg national conference

When I saw the first video introducing the "Look at the Book" campaign, I was beside myself with excitement that the topic of Bible literacy was about to get a broader audience. When I was given the priceless gift of ten minutes to address the attendees of the Desiring God National Conference on my favorite topic, I was speechless.

Thankfully, the Lord provided ten minutes worth of speech when I took the platform. You can watch it via the link below.

And for those of you who thought or suggested that it was humanly impossible for me to speak for only ten minutes, I'm accepting your written apologies via email at your convenience...:)

  1. Looking forward to hearing you speak 'one of these days' perhaps in Australia - and longer than 10minutes! :)

  2. Great job, especially for only having 10 minutes to speak. Thank you for addressing and encouraging the pastors.

  3. As I sat and listened on Saturday, I rejoiced in the Lord for the truth that He was highlighting through you. I am co-leading a young women's bible study. For months we have been praying for a material on the doctrines of the Bible. We praise the Lord for a group of women to whom the Lord has given hearts asking the Spirit to plant their roots deeper and build their foundation stronger. How good and pleasant it is as God joins us together in this desire. Do you have any material that you would recommend?

    1. Hi Kayla, if you're gathering for the purpose of opening your Bibles, I recommend studies that walk you through entire books of the Bible from start to finish. I like the LifeChange series from Navpress. My own studies are also designed with this purpose in mind and are free for download. They're linked on the righthand side of the blog. I also like Nancy Guthrie's studies. I hope this helps! Jen
